Ok here's my setup.

Falcon F4v3. All pixels are Holiday Coro WS2811 60/20 strips.

Port 1 - spiral tree (100 pix), 2 arches (100 pix total), spiral tree 2 (100 pix), 2 arches (100 pix total), spiral tree 3 (100 pix)

Power injected into output of spiral tree 3.

Problem: Spiral tree 3 remains blue

I've since added falcon F-amp between spiral tree 2 and 2nd set of arches thinking that it was a data related issue. but the pixels still remain blue.......

Any ideas?

Blue pixels generally mean you are inputting data at the wrong end of the strip.
There is a specific "Data In" end (look for a "DI" lettering on the strip)

In addition to what Jon said, what is the distance between the second set of arches and spiral tree 3?  Pixels are quite picky on distance from one pixel to the next.

If distance is the issue, you put the F-amp in the wrong place if that was the problem.  It should have gone between the second set of arches and spiral tree 3.
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

Not if you are using HolidayCoro pixels! They claim this is a troubleshooting "enhancement"

It sounds like you don't have Port 1 on your controller configured for the right number of pixels. Check your controller port config.

I can't figure out how to upload screenshot of my output settings ont he controller but I have the ports configured as the following:

Port1 start channel-1 pixel count-1024 end channel 3072
Port2 same pixel count start channel 3083 so on and so forth.

I shouldn't have port 1 filled up as I'm only running 500 pixels (1500 channels)

The strips are wired in the correct direction....

The pixel count on each port should match what you have plugged into that port.

You say you have 500 pixels on it but also say 1024 on the pixel count

On the E131 properties for falcon controller output, does it have to list the exact amount of pixels connected? I thought of you listed the max pixels allowed on the port, the pixel assignment for data is done through xlights via FPP

K-State Fan

Ok

I do not use that feature of xLights most of my setup was completed prior to that maybe someone that uses that can verify that for you.

No, but this complicates your configuration and even though YOU are not using the outputs, you have defined it so they exist and your network and controller now have to process all of that data so you are spamming your network and controller with useless data.

The pixel assignment is done through xLights, but you told the system that your "show" is this huge size so xLights will handle the conversion, but all unused channels are NOT ignored, it will send the data out for all of those unused channels.

1. Always use the reply button and not the quick reply box.
2. When clicking attachments always click on the upload button before clicking post.

Been there done that.

Holiday Coro pixels light up all blue when they have power but no data.  Sounds like somewhere in the whole picture data is not getting to it.  Could be errors in setup/config (needs to match what you actually have) or could be bad data connection.

Are you using the controller's built-in Test function or are you sending data from xLights to the controller?  Testing both ways will help isolate where the problem is.

Also try plugging Spiral Tree 3 directly into the controller just to make sure it works on its own instead of at the end of the chain.

Update: (still no luck)

1. I've connected this tree directly to the controller and it works.
2. I've placed an F-AMP between arch 4 and tree 3
3. I've since changed my settings to only account for 500 pixels as was suggested in this post.

Attached are my settings for the FPP and Controller. Anyone see any discrepancies?

Waste no more brain power. Problem is solved!

I suspect there is something wrong with the data coming from the arch 4 to the tree. I've put the tree3 beside tree 2 and ran my sequence and it plays all of the props.

I'll tear apart the arch later this afternoon as i suspect its a bad solder on the strip.
