Started getting a connection issue with my pi wired directly to my falcon over ethernet. Tried different cables, direct connect of the f16v3 to the network and still can't get an IP. Test mode works. Is this thing toast? Any ideas?

How is everything wired together?
How did you configure the network interfaces?
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

"still can't get an IP"????   Have you entered an ip manually?  That is what I've always done.

Nothing changed, the lights just went out. The configuration on the pi doesn't matter since there are no lights on the RJ45 PCB connectors. I will try and manually change the IP on the Falcon, I haven't tried that. Although my configuration is a private network this will have to be an ip on the main network and unused obviously.

Confirming that the RasPi and F16v3 are on a dedicated network with nothing else connected on that network?  If that is correct, you must specify the IP address for the F16v3 because as far as I know, the FPP instance does not act as a DHCP server.  If that does not describe your network configuration, please elaborate what is connected to what and how are they configured.  Your last sentence about private and main network is confusing.

Unlike the other Jim, all my devices get IP addresses from my router.  All the E1.31 devices are on a dedicated network but the router has a connection to that network - not a typical consumer router.
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

The main network is 192.168.86.0 for my wifi mesh. I then created a network for the falcon to connect to the pi at 192.168.101.1 and 192.168.101.2 (private). I now have confirmed there is a brown spot on the RJ45 connectors.

fpp backup - there should be automatic backups there you could restore from.

Same thing happened on the same day. Have no issues connecting. Connect to ras via wifi then ethernet to Control board. All of sudden no connection by ethernet or wifi. Router doesnt even show it listed. Nothing on my end changed what so ever. I am not sure if I need to reimage sd card in Ras or what.

Merry Christmas to all; Funny thing, same happened to me on Dec 13, the previous night show ran with no issues, on the 13th turned everything on, tried to connect to FPP player like I always do, would connect for 10 to 15 seconds and drop connection, when it connected, tried to switch to different menus it will drop connection, tried to reboot or shutdown, no luck, no show that night, next day ditch wireless and ran network cable to player, its been running with no issues to this day, will look in to it after the first of the year...
