Hi All, new guy here so if I'm in the wrong place let me know.  Hope you can help with a problem that ChatGPT can't seem to solve with me:

I'm trying to run an FSEQ file on a F-Prop (Build 18) controlling a WS2811 pixel string. I created the sequence on xLights 2026.02.  I'm using the online programming tool; my config is set for 180 pixels (GRB) and the file loads without errors, but the lights don't turn on.  When I load an empty sd card into the f-prop, it runs the default rainbow effect.  So I know the hardware (led and the f-prop) are functional.  AND i've successfully run sequences on this strip before I updated xlights and f-prop to the new version.

When I try to load the fseq, the boot log shows unexpected values:
  • Channels Per Pixel: 2
  • String 1 Pixels: 48
  • Color order: RGB[W]
In xLights, my model is correctly set to 180 nodes, 3 channels per node, and I exported as FSEQ v2 with ZLIB compression (i read that may be an issue).

The file loads successfully (no "missing token" error), but the controller appears to interpret the sequence as only 48 pixels.
Even more confusing, none of the pixels light up at all, not even 48.

Looking for insight into:
  • Why the FSEQ data doesn't match the xLights model
  • Why the controller is interpreting 2 channels per pixel
  • Why there is no output despite successful playback initialization

Not sure if this is helpful, but the first many lines of the log are below:

Don't have one so I really don't know but did you put a fep.cfg on the sdcard? The manual talks about generating this file using a tool and then including it with the fseq.

Poporacer

Can you post a screenshot of the configuration tool just before you upload your .fep file?
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.
