I have a F16 running my megatree.  I just set everything up today and all looks good.  Except port 3 is not working.  I did some trouble shooting, including changing out all the wiring, I plugged the non-working pixels into another port, they worked.  So I have concluded it is the port.  Is that normal for the controller to have a bad port?  Is there anything else I can troubleshoot.

It worked great last year, this is a new problem that just appeared when I set everything up for this year.

Sadly, it does happen to them every now and then.  I lost a port on my F48 a year or so ago but fortunately for me, that controller is way underutilized so I just moved everything to another port and it has been working fine ever since.

There are replacing chips (one per 4 ports) that are cheap and user replaceable that are often the reason ports stop working.

You checked all the wiring, but you never said anything about checking the software configs and programming setups.  That has bitten me way more often than hardware issues.

Thanks Jim and all.  I checked my software configs and all was set up correctly.

I ended up updating FPP output channels to skip port 3.  I bumped everything up by one port (I had extras to spare).  So all is good for now.  I will run with this set up through this season and see if I can trouble shoot more in the offseason. :-)
