Kulp K16A-B not working

I purchased a Kulp K16A-B back in 2020 from Wired Watts. It was working fine from 2020-2021, but I didn't have a show last year in 2022 due to my hectic schedule, so it's been sitting in a rubbermaid tote since 2022. I'm working on my show this year and I can't seem to get the K16A-B to work. The OLED screen is black. I do get an IP reservation on my router for the BBB, but when I go to the webpage it shows a cloud9 page "beaglebone.org Please upgrade your software" instead of the FPP page. I was running FPP 4.x or 5.x several years ago. I took another SD card, used the Raspberry Pi Imager app to load FPP 7.3.1. But I get the same beaglebone webpage. Also, the test button on the Kulp board does not work to light up the pixels. All 16 green LEDs near the fuses and pixel ports are lit and some blinking blue LEDs on the BBB are lit. Any other troubleshooting tips I can do?

Try forcing it to boot off the SD card by holding the S2 button when you plug in the power.  It may be booting off the eMMC.

Ok I will try that. I realize that I need to disassemble the whole setup to get access to that button. I also have the SD card extension cable, so I'm wondering if that is not seated properly, which might cause it to not boot up.

The SD card extension cable must have been loose or not seated properly. I removed it and inserted the SD card directly into the BBB and it's working again.

SD extensions are a good idea in theory but have not gotten one to work reliably.  I just carefully insert the SD card.

Good to know that. I removed it from my setup and installed FPP 7.3.1 on a new SD card. Good thing I had a config backup from 2021 that imported successfully. I'm back in business. Now back to sequencing! Thanks!
