Would a LoRa setup work well to update a Remote P5 matrix?

Looking at putting a P5 matrix sign about 400 feet away from the source. It would be a Remote, so sending FSEQ files and playlist/schedule updates.

Would a LoRa setup be sufficient for bandwidth (and security) or would I be better off using WiFi (2.4ghz).

If LoRa, what parts would I need?
If WiFi, recommendations?

Cost is of some concern, but more concerned about speed, stability and security.

Looking at the "LoRa MultiSync Plugin for FPP" plugin written by Dan. Anyone using it? What hardware did you use?

The LoRa plugin only does multisync.  You cannot transfer fseq files via LoRa.   You would still need some method of uploading the sequences.

Thanks, Dan. I didn't catch that part. Looks like I'll be dealing with directional antenna WiFi then. It won't be convenient at all to go there to upload FSEQ files. (and I can't bury a cable)

It will be line of site but 400 feet. Any recommendations, anyone? Ubiquiti?
Some of the waterproof, outdoor WiFi extenders claim 300m (900ft). Any experience?

Years ago at work, we did 2.4Ghz across a 300 foot roadway with yagis on both ends. Worked very well. All the equipment was "industrial grade" but you could probably do it for your purposes with a "cantenna".

A few years ago I helped a guy back east that needed about a half mile.  We did it with unlicensed Ubiquiti point to point microwave (which can easily go miles).
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

Look at Ubiquiti, the new Swiss Army Knife Ultra. $109 $89 and has external antenna connectors. A compact form factor.
