RPI02W won't recover from power failure

I have FPP 8.0 installed on 2x RPI02W boards.  Everytime the power fails, I have to reflash the SD card to get them working again.  Is there a way to mitigate this?

put a monitor on them and see whats going on, also try using the latest version with all the bug fixes rather than 8.0
