had my Kulp k16A-B up and running perfectly last week... it now boots up fine and displays the Ip address and that its idle. I go to the Ip address and it doesn't connect because it tells me that the IP address is forbidden....any ideas why? Any help appreciated!

What IP is the Kulp showing and what is the IP of your computer?  How are the computer and Kulp connected?  Suggest you open a windows command window and enter this command:  ipconfig /all
Than post the results of that command.  You can ignore any section that includes "Media Disconnected"
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

Open a cmd window .. ping it .. then unplug the controller and see if the ping goes away. Perhaps you are hitting another device.

If you are running FPP 9 beta and installed one of the updates on 7/24... that could be the culprit. Power cycling should resolve the issue. https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp/issues/2297

I haven't updated my controllers yet this year, I'm not sure what version I'm running but it's not one of the latest upgrades, but I did ping the IP address and I got data. unplugged the controller and I got the same data. do you think I have another device with the same IP address and if I do how do I fix it?

That is probably true.

That would depend on how you are connecting. I assume that you are connecting via an Ethernet cable to your home router? If so, you could manually change the Ethernet settings on your computer to be in the same network as the controller and then connect the controller directly to your computer.
This would probably be much easier to handle in the Zoom Room.
If you are not familiar with the Zoom Room, this might help.

If you know your router pages .. you might get lucky and find the show connected devices. You might recognize it .. and oh its the google device.. then just unplug it.
