Raspberry pi 4 same hardware and FPP, different channel output screen

As the title says, I have two rpi4's that are both running FPP 8.4(although this problem goes back several versions that at least I've noticed) and the channel output screens are markedly different. any ideas? The only difference I know for sure is one pi has a 24 license key and the other has an 8 license key. I am currently reinstalling a third config of the same to see what it does and will post picas accordingly.
