F40D-PB possible issues??

I'm running an F40D-PB and having a couple of issues....

1), when using fpp-connect from xlights.  the seq files did not transfer correctly when the setting was "V2 Sparse/zstd", however if I change the setting to "v2" then the whole seq is put on that controller and everything works fine.

2)  the F40 keeps loosing the output configuration.   set it up all correct yesterday morning,  when showtime arrived.  (5:30pm) output was gone.  had to reinstall output, show ran fine.  This morning output gone.  I now have xlights Controller panel configured for this controller so I can upload output configuration with the exception of changing each receiver to "smart receiver" from "standard".

any suggestions for these two issues would be appreciated.  (xposted onto facebook fpp group)
