esp8266 with SD card board, SD not detected ESPixelStick

Hey everyone!

With Pi's being absolutely impossible to find I decided to dabble with esp8266. I don't have a ton of programming experience but figured I could bumble my way through connecting an SD card attachment to an esp8266 and creating my "own" pixel stick. My plan is to use this as a costumestick running an xlights sequence without needing to rely on a show pi pushing the sequence to it.

I know the ESpixelstick has an SD card installed natively so the code for detecting/utilizing an SD card is there. During initialization I see SD card not detected so I'm sure there's something I'll need to change within the FileMgr.cpp config or something similar.

I have 0 experience with Arduino (which is why I decided to give this a shot) so most of this is uncharted territory. Any help would be appreciated!
