New to Pi and FPP Pi cap

Good afternoon.  Stupid questions. I'm new to this world of pi and pi caps. I got a new pi 4b and the FPP pi cap. I got the pi working and pi cap installed, set to ues 12v pixels. Does the FPP  software need to be downloaded to the SD card? Where do I set up the FPP? Thanks

The FPP Pi version https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp/releases/download/7.2/FPP-v7.2-Pi.img.zip will include FPP and the Pi OS on the same image.

If you follow that video step by step and ONLY what it says, you will be all good. NO you do Not need the Pi OS software. FPP handles it all!
