Hi All,
I have a raspberry pi4 as my main player with a P4 panel with a P3 in remote mode all sync. All working fine.
Now I have added a new Pi3 with a pi hat for my new wings. The pi is in player mode and is affecting my lights making then flicker.

The output for the hat is set for the 500 pixels for the wings.
Is there any settings to stop channel data single coming on the E1.31?
I will try and put the wifi onto a different network so the time can be updated.

Any help would be great.
Thanks
Colin

It is common to have more than one FPP device on the same network.  Flickering is a sign that you have more than one device trying to control the same set of lights.

I have my wings set in standalone mode and not working with the show network, using push buttons to activate.

Hi JonD
So what you are saying, yes you can have more then 1 player on the network.
I've just check the main player and is output setting is set to the wing channel as well. I will change after the show tonight.

Some people have dozens of FPP based controllers in their display.  Player/Remote (MultiSync) is more common, but you can have more than one FPP device in player mode depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

Update,
Show Pi and wing Pi is working correctly, No flickering lights.
The only problem is the P4 panel pi sync to the show pi is still flickering but when I pullout the cat5 cable at the switch for the wing pi the P4 panel stops flickering and works normal. Its only a Pi2+ may need to upgrade?

JonD

Not sure on the Pi2+ needing an upgrade, if it works fine after you pull the cat5 cable that would not be my first guess.  Verify you don't have two devices trying to control it.  Make sure xlights "Output to Lights" is not on (which sometimes requires a reboot after it has been turned off).  Make sure you do not have channels overlapping on both systems.

I have never had any panels, but if you post a print screen of your configs, something may stick out.

Does it have any E1.31/DDP outputs configured on it?

No E1.31 or DDP are configured, just the rPi-28D Hat.

Explain how you have everything physically connected. Switches etc. If it works fine without the ethernet connected, then why not leave it disconnected?

You didn't include the E1.31 outputs on FPP3 or FPP2 LED

It looks like you are using FPP 4 as the player? And using FPP2 LED as the bridge between the networks?
