New sequences won't work with unchanged system

I can't get some new sequences to work.  I have a large display with five Falcon F16V3 controllers and everything worked perfectly last Christmas. I purposely have not updated anything because I don't want to get into any version compatibility problems right now.  I am going to use my controllers to run three very, very large matrices for a theatrical play this summer so eventually I will be making numerous temporary modifications to everything. For initial testing purposes I am using a single string of 100 bullet leds connected to Controller 1, Port 1.
I have prepared some new sequences to use with the matrices, but every time I start a sequence from FPP, I initially get no response for a few seconds and then the entire test string starts flashing on and off at about a one second interval.  As part of troubleshooting, I have added a new single string model.  In xLights the model has a start channel of #101:1 and 100 nodes/string specified. Universe 101 is consistent throughout xLights, FPP, and Controller 1 as the first universe.
In the past I had a similar problem caused by an incompatibility between FPP and Falcon controller versions. That problem was solved by changing the format of my audio files so I have tried m4a, MP3, and WAV versions but that has not helped.
The test string works perfectly when the sequence is played directly from xLights, tested from xLIghts, tested from the Controller, or tested from FPP.
As always, any help would be appreciated because I am stumped again after two days of troubleshooting this seemingly "simple" problem.

I have decided to go ahead and update everything to the latest versions to see if that, for reasons unknown, solves the problem.  It will also eliminate that as a variable if the problem is not solved.  I will provide status after upgrades are complete and I test it again.

OK. Everything updated. FPP 7.5; F16V3 2.59; xLights 2024.07
Still no change. Newly created sequences simply flash off and on with red and green colors.  My old sequences work fine on the single, 100-node string connected to Controller 1, Port 1.
Any thoughts?

One more thing. I just created a new sequence that only has the single string, 100-node model. It behaves the same way except the one second interval flashes are multiple colors instead of just red and green

WE need a LOT more information in order to help you get things sorted out. I would highly suggest going into the Zoom room. That is by far the best and quickest way to get problems resolved. There are people there pretty much 24/7/365 Here is a video if you are not familiar with the Zoom Room.

If you don't want to go that route, it sounds like a configuration issue. Can you post screen shots of
1. Your controller page in xLights
2. Your FPP E1.31 outputs page
3. Your F16's Sting port page.
4. The sequence in xLights.

Because you said:

It sounds like you are manually configuring things? This is usually not the best way since it is WAY too easy to make mistakes and letting xLights mange things fixes a TON of problems.

I have never seen that issue in the last 7 years.

I haven't seen that either, I think there might be something else going on.

If to err is human, I am more human than most people.
