K8-B with two remotes on same matrix

I am using a K8-B as a stand-a-lone.  It is married to a 48 x 48 matrix.  The matrix uses 16 connections.  8 come from the K8-B directly.  The other 8 are connected to remotes.  (4 off of each remote.)  Note that this is one matrix.

Connecting using two remote feeds (one for each remote) works.  (From RS485 port 1 (9-12 on the K8) and then RS485 port 2 (13-16 on the K8).  Two cat5s from the K8 to the remotes.)

What I am looking for is a way to daisy chain the remotes (9 thru 16) providing for only one RS485 feed from the K8 to the remotes and still use the direct outputs (1 thru 8 ) on the Kulp.

Someone mentioned using "cascading remotes" by right clicking on the outputs in Visualizer.  I don't find this at all.

Does anyone else have information as to this "Cascading Remotes)?

Thanks

There is a section in the manual.  What type of remotes are you using?

You cannot view this attachment.

Sorry I didn't get back to this thread.
Got it working and have actually improved some other areas in this display with this knowledge as well.

As far as the manual, perhaps I'm looking at the wrong one...

Thanks.

One thing that sticks out to someone looking for information and possibly sends them elsewhere -

On the front page of that manual, at the bottom of the page is the statement "Last modified 3yr ago".  This leads one to believe that the manual is out of date by three years, therefore not worth looking through.

A different ID on the page, stating the xLights version it covers up to and the most recent update to any page would be much better than "Last modified 3yr ago".

I know that I discounted it because of this.  :(
There is too much good information in it (yes - I've spent some time tonight reading through it) to have it disregarded.

Hopefully the folks keeping the manual up to date will see this.

Manuals are hard and especially with a program that evolves as quickly as xLights does.

As a retired IT guy, I can say with no uncertainty that I have nothing but respect for those that try to maintain manuals.  They have saved my back-side more than once over the decades.

The tool that is being used needs some "help".  It should provide a way to update key data points, like last update to the whole manual no matter where in the manual it was updated, and/or version of the software that the manual is up-to-date with posted front and center.

Again,
Thanks for the information.  It proved to be most valuable when I finally got this part of the display working.
