Hi All!
I am attempting to use my RPi zero W as a media player for my projector. I have it all set up and added the files and put them in a playlist. When I am play the playlist, it comes up as the first frame on the video and then freezes while the audio continues to play. I tried the new v6 as well as v5.5. It is the same outcome.

Does anyone have any leads on where I can troubleshoot or change. I have spent the day searching through forums and have not come up with anything.

I believe all Pis have a H264 limit of 1080p 30fps 8bit color (1080p as defined is 1920 × 1080)  The newest Pi 4b is able to use H265 which supports a higher resolution.  What is the size of the video you are trying to play?

I suspect that you will find that a Pi Zero will be underpowered to play videos.

Thanks for your help troubleshooting. I re-rendered all versions to be H264 mp4 1080P 29.97. I tried re-imaging from scratch both 6.1.1 and 5.5 versions of FPP and also tried a separate pi zero w. The best I can get is audio and a flashing white and green screen for video. I have seen this done with a few people playing video files off of a rpi zero w. Am I missing something? I have been trying to get my hands on a 4 but we all know how the market is right now.

The zero has a tiny brain, but if others are doing it, you probably can too.  I will not be much help other than I have seen this question posted a few times by others.  You might try playing a very low resolution video.  If it plays, just keep increasing the resolution until it doesn't.

Thanks! I am going to try to hunt down a 3 or 4 to do it the right way.
