FPP connecting to network issue

Hey All,

I'm running a stand alone network for the show.  I'm using static IP addresses.  It has its own wireless modem.  When I use my phone browser to log on to the FPP it usually takes me several attempts to connect.  I end up backing out of the browser and switching from 2G to 5G on the modem 2-3 times before finally the FPP lets me log on with the browser.

I can go to any of the controllers with the phone at any time but the FPP gives me fits trying to connect.  I suspect it might be something to do with the phone because once I get logged onto the FPP it will frequently disconnect from the FPP but I can still get to any controller.  I don't understand why I can get to any/all controllers but not the FPP.

Thanks to the scheduler the show runs fine even if I can't log on to the FPP easily....it runs and sends the show data out to the network and controllers....It's just my phone logon to the FPP that seems finicky.

Is there some little setting on the FPP that could be causing this or not doing a handshake with my phone browser?

Are you trying to connect while the show is playing?
Might be to much traffic to handle the connection....
Can you post post the logs from the player?

Thanks for the response Breese.  It does this prior to the show starting/running when the FPP is first plugged in or while the show is running and sending data out over the network to the controllers.  It doesn't seem to matter.

Lucky for me the FPP doesn't care if I'm logged on with my phone and goes ahead and runs the scheduled show.  I just have nightmares that I might want to stop/start a specific sequence and not be able to log on.  Haha.

Not sure how to post logs.  I went to the "logging" tab and everything is set to "Info" or I can bulk change to one of the other available settings but I don't see anything to allow me to see a 'log' of anything.  I've never played in this 'playground' before.  What am I missing?

You will need to connect to the player with a computer to access the logs.
then you can download them and upload them to this site

The logs are in the file manager. Look for Content Setup/File Manager then find the logs tab.

Thanks for the help folks....  Any suggestions as to which logs would include such data as logons?  There are 14 or so of them....  I don't want to flood the site with too many files but I learned a long time ago that when I "assume" I'll misfire!  Haha.
