I'm currently running my virtualsanta.mp4 video straight from a playlist that loops and every time it loops, there is a blip in the video. I could be recalling incorrectly, but when I ran it in the background as a script (two scripts, start and stop), I felt like it didn't have any blips in the loop. I'm trying to get back to running the video without a bloop, and this was the old script I ran...would this still work, or is there a better way to have a seamless loop? Here is the script @CaptainMurdoch made for me many, many years ago, but from what I understood omxplayer was no longer supported. I hope someone has an answer...I have faith :)

#!/bin/bash
. /opt/fpp/scripts/common
OMXPLAYER="sudo -u fpp /usr/bin/omxplayer --no-keys"
while /bin/true
do
    # Play Video #1
    ${OMXPLAYER} /home/fpp/media/videos/virtualsanta.mp4
done

Since the change to VLC and omxplayer deprecation, that I've also been looking for the same answer.
If anyone could contribute with a solution for the seamless playback of a video, I would be delighted too...
