**Update/Resolution**

I'm going to be honest, I'm not 100% sure if the following is what got it working, but this is what I ended up doing.

1. Downloaded the firmware for my device from here : https://kulplights.com/firmwares/K16A-B/ (had no idea this existed until looking at the forums).
2. Ended up doing a full power cycle since the above didn't work.
3. Screen turned on, things started working
4. Issue I had was I could only see differentials and no ports to assign.. fortunately I kept my old bbb settings, I just swapped that in, and boom had my ports.
5. Did another full power cycle.

Now it all works. It's going to take a REALLY large feature update to xlights to ever have me go through this again... hoping I have similar success on my next controller.

********* This is the original issue, all fixed but here for historical in case anyone finds themselves in the same boat********
Hey all... feeling like I made a huge mistake deciding to update my controllers this year. I was on 5.5, decided to make the jump to 8.5.. installed the os via the option in Falcon player... after the install I couldn't get into my beagle bones at all (I have 2 controllers). Brought one in the house and did a fresh image on an SD card and can get in just fine but now for the life of my cannot get it to detect my controllers at all.

I have a k16a-b (I believe on both but I haven't opened my other one yet it might be a 32).

All lights come on for power, BB is running fine (it was all working well this entire week prior to updating). However the OLED screen doesn't come on now at all, test button doesn't work, etc. and I am really losing my mind trying to figure out how to get the BB to detect the k16a-b.
I only have a few choices for Virtual Eeprom (Falcon controllers I've included the list)
Really at a complete loss here as to what's going on. When I originally set these up I feel like they were detected and I was on my way.. but again that was on 5.5.. I might revert however the entire reason I updated was so fpp connect worked in xlights on all my controllers.
This is the only relevant thing I see in my logs.
