F48V4-NS with SRX4V4.00 Problem

Could someone help me in setting up xlights with a F48V4-NS and SRX4V4?  There doesn't seem to be any manuals for the F48V4-NS or SRX4V4.00.

After wiring everything, if I press the local SRX4V4.00 "TEST BUTTON" all of my connected lights cycle thru the tests as expected.

The "F48V4-NS TEST Web Page" does not appear to work consistently.  If I select "ALL", only the first 4 ports of leds on the SRX4V4 (i.e. ID 1) will cycle through the test as expected.  None of the others (ID +1, ID +2 etc) light up.

My Current Setup: (xlights v2023.06 64 bit)

SRX4V4.00 Board Setup
ID Selection: set to "1" as per instructions on the bottom of the board.

F48V4-NS Controller Setup in xlights
The F48V4-NS is set as a Controller with "4+4+4" Smart Receiver Chains.

Xlights Model Setup
Use Smart Remote: "CHECKED"
Smart Remote Type: "falcon_v2" (can't be changed)
Smart Remote: "A" - there is only A thru F to select - there is no "1" setting.

The SRX4V4 has four groups of ports.  
1. Is "ID "A" and ID+1 "B" and ID+2 "C" and ID+3 "D" ??  
2. Do I then assign the xlights Model connected to that port the appropriate letter?  i.e. a model connected to the 8th port would be 8B and 9th port would be 9C.

Additionally, I have subbed in my second SRX4v4 and have the exact same results so I must be missing something.

Any help or documentation would be appreciated.

No. The F48 has the ports labeled 1-5, 6-8, 9-12, etc. The SRx4 has groups of 4 pixel connections labeled ID, ID+1, etc. ID will correspond to the first letter assigned to that receiver chain (this will typically be A, but you can daisy chain these, so it won't always be A) 

IF this is the only receiver in the chain and you are defining it in xLights to start with A, then ID+1 will be B, ID +2 =C, etc. 

So if the cable connected to the SRx4 is connected to jack labeled 6-8, then the SRx4 will be using only ports 6-8 and the props connected to pixel connection 1 on ID will be 6A, pixel connector 2 on ID will be 7A, Pixel connector 3 on ID will be 8A, etc.

Props connected to pixel connection 1 on ID+1 will be 6B, pixel connector 2 on ID+1 will be 7B, Pixel connector 3 on ID+1 will be 8B, etc.

Props connected to pixel connection 1 on ID+3 will be 6D, pixel connector 2 on ID+3 will be 7D, Pixel connector 3 on ID+3 will be 8D, etc.

More than likely. 

Did you configure the ports in the F48? 

You should let xLights manage your controller and then you don't have to manually configure your controller and it eliminates about 80% of the problems that new people have.

Just a FYI, there is a Zoom Room that is probably the best resource for help out there. Here is a video explaining the Zoom room and how to use it.

Finally got a chance to spend some time troubleshooting.

I would not have gotten the SRx4 working without your help!  I can now control all SRx4 leds from xlights Test.

Note: Once I set xlights Models to the 1A / 1B / 1C / 1D to match the SRx4 board base ID "A", everything worked.  

BUT when I did a CONTROLLER "Visualizer" and matched the strings to the wired SRx4 port numbers, all the Model Entry I previously performed was reset and it no longer worked.

I was also told that I could add (2) SRx4 boards and use a few installed older Smart Receiver V1.00 boards, as long as I didn't exceed 48 ports.

1. How do I set the xlights Models for the 2nd SRx4 board that is connected to Differential Output Port 2?  Can I use the same ID "A" or does it have to follow as another ID (i.e. ID "E").  If so the SRx4 boards only go up to "F", then start at "0".

2. How do I set up the Old Smart Receiver V1.0 boards connected to their own Differential Output Ports (3,4,5).  I know xlights has to determine which Differential Output Port to use to send data.  Does it do this through the xlights Model "Board ID" or "Port"?

I have attached a layout diagram that outlines my system and pngs of the F48v3 Outputs/e1.31/visualizer as you suggested.  On my desktop I use multiple screens with 4k so "screenshot" does not seem to work properly.

I don't have the V4 NS but if they have the RJ45 ports marked as outputs 1-12, I can see that as confusing. Output 1 is Ports 1-4, Output 2 is ports 5-8, etc. 

Can I use the same ID "A" or does it have to follow as another ID (i.e. ID "E").

The letter designations are to identify which "part" of each pixel PORT the board is using. Since Output 2 is starting a new pixel PORT series (ports 5-8)hen you would use the letter designation to identify the ports, typically starting at A (there are only the letters A-F available).

How do I set up the Old Smart Receiver V1.0 boards connected to their own Differential Output Ports (3,4,5)

The smart receiver will be set in Normal Mode and in xLights you will configure the receiver as normal as well (Smart Remote None.) FYI Output port 3 will be ports 9-12, Output 4 will be ports 13-16, etc

Thanks a million, those pngs are perfect!!... The F48s can be a bit confusing and looking at your diagrams, you are not even in the ballpark.... It is a lot to try and explain in typing. I would HIGHLY and extremely HIGHLY recommend looking at the Video about the Zoom Room and jump in there for help. There is usually someone there 24/7. It will probably take you a few days back and forth here to get things figured out and if you jump in there, you can get it all figured out and explained in a matter of minutes and probably learn things that you didn't even know that you didn't know.

But based on what I see, you have your Singing Props/Snow flakes connected to the second differential output? The second differential output is ports 5-8, but in xLights it looks like you have them assigned to ports 17A-20A? (They should be 5A-8A) And the Ledge/Tune per your diagram is on 5B-8B but in xLights you have them on 21B-24B?  Do you see all of the entries in your F48 that say DUMMY? That typically means that you have a configuration that is not normal... You really shouldn't have all of those.
