Looking to add an EEPROM to my home made PiCap.
Is the eeprom connected to the Pi on the RaspberyPi (ID_SC and ID_SD) GPIO0 and GPIO1 or is it connected to the standard I2C bus with the RTC and LCD display?  At what address?

tfmacz

Ok, So experaments suggest the eeprom should be on the i2c bus.  Address looks to be 0x50. Which appears to be default with all address pins low.
Got the following trying to upgrade which is blank.
EEPROM Location:Physical - Warning: Location flag specified in EEPROM
does not match actual EEPROM location.

Now need to figure out how to build a valid eeprom image????

Check out the samples in /opt/fpp/docs/samples/eeproms/ which also include a Makefile to use the included /opt/fpp/scripts/generateEEPROM script to build an eeprom .bin file.

Chris thanks for the tip.  I have a working physical eeprom for my homemade hat.  I need to sign it so I can use the DPIPixel driver for more than 50 pixels.  Do I just sign it from the Cape Info screen in FPP?  Or do I have to sign it somehow before I build it?
