I have the latest firmware, a strong WiFi connection, and the shows work fine....when they start.  I had xLights configure the controller (pre-built from Falcon).  Under the browser interface, i set the schedule to run from 5pm to 10pm.  Under the setting tab I have the time server set, the correct time zone, and internet access enabled. Everything work fine, I check the interface again in an hour or so.  The time no longer matches the correct time, it loses a few minutes every hour.  I reset the time 2 nights ago, it lost over 2 hours in two days. You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment.

My controllers have kept the correct time all season long, and I don't even need them to.  It points to my FPP player as the NTP time server.  I have seen several others mention this problem, and have no doubt that you are having issues.  One thing I have noticed is that time.google.com is always mentioned.

Have you tried another time server?  Maybe pool.ntp.org or an IP address instead 132.163.96.5 , 128.138.141.177 ?

Below are the settings that work at my location...

I will try a different time server... that should have been the first thing, sorry.  But do I need a FPP?  I bought the pre built from falcon, do i still need a Pi?

You would probably be happier with a Pi running FPP, but as far as I know others are running it in stand alone mode just fine.

I am running in stand alone (Player) mode (display is 1 mile from my house in a park - no internet).  Have a good battery (tested) but if I leave the F16V4 plugged in it looses ~1/2 hour per day - not good for setting when show starts and stops.  I also noticed that if I cut power to controller the clock stops after a few minutes - not sure what battery is for, it is not running the clock?  To get around this I run in continuous mode and have a power timer that cuts controller on and off.
