Very unexpected error message

After adding a 4 port differential expansion board to my F16V3 controller, I moved existing props around using the Visualizer to use the new ports. They are the same props and pixel counts I had before, totals didn't change. I plan on using only one receiver each off 3 of the 4 board connections, no daisy chains planned for this year. I changed settings to reflect the added board in both the controller web interface and XLights. I had successfully uploaded all items while it was just a 16 port setup. When I tried to upload the changed config, I get this error:

ERR: Controllers 'Bank' channel count [3108 (1036)] is over the maximum [3072 (1024)].
    Largest ports on banks:  Bank 1 - Port 8 [1218 (406)],  Bank 2 - Port 25 [1890 (630)]

I'm not exceeding the pixel count on any port. Port 8 isn't one that can even be used as a differential port in the original 16 port config. I don't remember reading anything about "Banks" in either of the manuals, F16V3 or the Smart Receiver, so I'm a bit bewildered. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. For some reason I thought that only applied to a full 2 expansion card config. Rearranged some props and good to go.
