We are looking into replacing our FPP Pis with an x86 computer.
I have successfully loaded FPP onto a laptop that I had a fresh Debian 11 install on.
One of our main requirements is to have video output from FPP.
I realize that this could be accomplished using a remote pi to play the video, but I want to go straight from the computer.
Has anyone gotten this to work yet?
I know the documentation says the following:

"HDMI output MAY work, but may also require updates
to "env" files in /boot to properly configure.  Search forums/google for instructions
for your particular device."

EDIT: As it usually happens, as soon as I post on a forum, I find my solution.
From post https://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php?topic=15936.msg129281#msg129281
I added the: --kms-device /dev/dri/card1 --kms-connector HDMI-A-1 --kms-drm-chroma XR24 to the VLC settings and changed the card to 0.
This shows the video output on my HDMI monitor.
There is a short delay before the video shows on the monitor.
Also I want to see if I can figure out blanking so that the console does not show.
Note that the traditional blanking options are not available on this build.

Thanks in Advance
