OBJ File in Sketchup

Hello group,
I am trying to put am OBJ file into xlights to 3d my layout.  I have the SKP file and uploaded it into Sketchup, did the changes, saved the file as an OBJ and tried to upload it into xllights and I just get an orange box but no image of my house.  Can anyone be of assistance please?

Without seeing a screenshot, my first guess is the 3D model has loaded soo small into the window that it only shows an orange pull tab square (click on that to change between sizing and rotating).
You may need to set the size in object properties by a number.

By doing that the square was a red X. Anyhow, I kept researching and found that I needed to add the file into Mesh not image as a tutorial told me to.  It is working now.
