FPPv7.5 octoscoller error

I am resurrecting my show and doing the FPP upgrade from 4. to 7.5.  I have an led sign run by an octoscroller.  After the upgrade I get this error:Abnormal Conditions - May Cause Poor Performance
Could not initialize output type BBShiftString. Check logs for details.

there are actually 2 errors, the first one flashes by quick  Fppp daemon not running comes first

I do not know what log to look at and the ones I have looked at do not show any errors.  Any idea where to look?  It did appear to be working fine before the upgrade.  Thanks

The test output seems to work after getting it configured correctly.

You somehow pushed a configuration for pixel strings.   The BBShiftString is a pixel string driver so there is configuration there for pixel strings that the Octo obviously cannot drive.   You can got to Settings, enable the advanced mode UI, then turn on "Display all hardware options/settings" and you should be able to see the strings tab on the channel outputs.   Disable the strings output.
