I have the Falcon F16v3,

Can i test more than 50 rgb's, like the

Candy Cane 99, Wreath 54, Singing Light Bulbs 154.

Without having internet/modem access.

when I light the wreath it stops at 50 rgb's, the last 4 do not light.

same with candy canes, and singing light bulbs.

Each port can control up to 1024 pixels. The controller defaults to 50 pixels per port. The Manual will tell you how to configure the ports for more.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it would work with out having internet, can't seem to get it in the mountains.
I'll look through the manual

No need for internet to connect to your controller.

Im not sure , been reading the manuel, dont see how to turn on more then the 50 rgb's without internet. Im I missing something?

Maybe a terminology issue here.  Internet (as in the World Wide Web) is never required.  Local network connection is - both for configuration and operation (for the most part on the latter).
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

like k6ccc stated, you might have some terminology issues. You don't need access to the internet (World Wide Web) but you do need some sort of network to access the controller to make configuration changes and actually operate it. The network can be as simple as your laptop and the controller.... Since we have no clue what you have, there is no way to give you relevant suggestions. I would suggest jumping in the Zoom Room so that all the relevant questions can be asked at one time and can get you up and running in no time.

I have a question, if you can't get to the internet because of being in the mountains, how are you posting your questions here?

That is only because you haven't configured one. Like I said, a network can be as simple as connecting your computer directly to your F16

I will try that next, thank you

poporacer, I get internet when I go into town. That is how I'm responding and posting questions.

Is there a website for the zoom room, how can I get there?

Thanks Ed

Quote from: Poporacer on July 31, 2021, 05:16:14 PMThe Zoom room is a GREAT tool and you can learn a lot just by sitting in!
You can get to the Zoom room from xLights and go to the Help>Zoom button
Or go here:

Poporacer posted this last year.  Not sure if it is still valid, but xlights still has a zoom option in the help drop down.

That makes sense.
But can't you bring the F16 with you when you come back in town and then jump in the Zoom room to get help setting it up?
Like I said, you have to have some sort of network in order to communicate with the F16. It would be MUCH easier to walk you through it in the Zoom room. They can get it set up in 10 minutes where you have already spent almost a week trying to get this working.

The Falcon will display the IP address it booted up with.  Plug an ethernet cable from the laptop/desktop directly into a Falcon ethernet port.  Be careful not to plug the network cable into one of the Falcon's RS485 ports.  Even though they have the same style jack, mixing connection types can damage the port.  The ethernet ports are typically silver plated.  Check your manual if you are not sure which ones to use.  Manually assign your laptop an IP address changing the last digit to something else.  The falcon and laptop can not use the same IP.  The first three numbers should be the same, the last number needs to be different (1-254). Once connected, open a web browser of your choice, type the IP address of your controller, and with any luck your falcon web management page will open.

You really should consider jumping in a zoom room and hopefully someone can get you going.  Based on your prior posts, you bought the Falcon in 2020.  You appear to need some networking help, and as Poporacer suggests you could probably get this working in 5-10 minutes in the Zoom.

ecbrum

Thank you everyone, I did finally get it working, to test out more lights, I'm still trying to get internet to my home, hopefully befor the year is up. I took the FPP with my laptop into to town. Yeah.... Some relief

Thank You again Ed
