I am putting up a pixel tree this year (first time making one) and I am having a tough time trying to figure out how to get it to stand up. I bought four ground stakes to hold up my 3/4" EMT pipe, connected to the topper (Boscoyo mega tree topper) but the topper keep sliding down the pipe because of the tension.

What are some other methods that people have used to stand up their mega tree or ways to keep the topper in place?

Looking for what other people did that had success.

Thanks

jnealand

Put a screw in the emt to keep the topper from sliding down.  If you bought their kit you also got a piece with 3 guy wires.  Put a screw in the emt under that piece to keep it from sliding down.  That is what I did, but I have sold that kit off and built a bigger tree using the ASAP pole as described on magicchristmas.org.

You can get a hose clamp as well to help keep it from sliding down.
