Is it possible to convert E1.31/Artnet form Resolume/Madrix/MadMapper, etc. to .fseq? XLights and Vixen lack some functionality that these software have, so it would be best to stay with these and just convert output to .fseq so it would be possible to use with FPP for offline use. Such converter would enable to use FPP with nearly every software designed for light control.

I have asked this multiple times over the last couple years, I was pointed towards this...

it can be downloaded here

my understanding is that it uses java to capture a data stream and convert it to xseq that can then be converted to fseq. I have still not had any time to play with it, let me know what you find

You can use the xcapture tool to accomplish this task.

Am I an idiot?  Why can't I find xCapture??? Not seeing it in the XLights app, not seeing it as a standalone download?  And the xLights tutorial video that covers xCapture says nothing about where it can be found...

I have not used it, but have come across it in my adventures.  If you are on Windows, try navigating in File Explorer to: C:\Program Files\xLights\xCapture.exe
(you could probably type that in the start menu too)
I don't believe it creates a desktop or menu icon (doesn't on my Windows machine) .

On Mac/OSX machine it is a separate App as well, that you have to drag over to Applications from the .dmg file.

in that hyperlink above, the file you want is the E131recorder.java  file near the top of the list

As far as running it, you're on your own. Never tried it.
