Since I upgraded to FPP 6 (the latest version as of this writiing) I can't seem to get email to work.  I previously had it working with a Gmail account (using the app password option, since Gmail no longer supports "less secure apps").  That has worked flawlessly with FPP 5.x

I can't seem to get any email address working with FPP 6, tried Gmail, MSN, and Yahoo.  And I configure the SMTP settings specific to the email provider I'm testing it with.

I have automatic events that occur that rely on email (my home automation system can run various events depending on what the email from FPP contains).

There was a bug fixed recently, what version of FPP are you using?
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

Just updated it today

Can you pull in the latest updates and try again?  I just pushed a patch which closed 2 more email-related bug tickets.

Works now, at the time I initially wrote this post, I was running the current version, so more updates I guess came down later.

Successfully sent email via the scripts I have, plus the test email button in the email setup page.

Thanks!
