I am  bit rusty and working on minimal display using a single port on a Pi. I configured some models on xlights, and some sequences. It is mostly working but I can't get any channels past 1131 to work. These missing channels are for a string of 100 pixels but only 28 light up. That is true for Display Testing and running sequences. All the channel start/end and counts look right in the Channel Outputs.
I'm sure it is a channel issue but there are 4 universes with over 2000 channels available.
???

What does your setup in the sequencer look like?
What does the cape setup in FPP look like?

vicwhit

My sequencer is set up with:
Model         Start   End
AC 1            1       1
AC 2            2       2
AC 3            3       3
AC 4            4       4
AC 5            5       5
AC 6            6       6
AC 7            7       7
AC 8            8       8
Pixel Line 1  21   320
Flood 1       321  323
Star 1         324  593
Pentagram  594  743
Little Star 1 744  773
Star 2         774  1043
Flood 2      1044  1046
Pixel Line 2 1047 1346

The PiHat config is:

Desc           Start  Count   End

Pixel Line 1  21       100    320
Flood 1       321          1   323
Star 1         324        90   593
Pentagram  594         50  743
Little Star 1 744        10   773
Star 2         774        90  1043
Flood 2      1044          1  1046
Pixel Line 2 1047      100   1346

MikeKrebs

Are they all shown on port 1?

vicwhit

Yes. They are all in one line off Port 1.
In Test mode, I can successfully test all models, except the last one, Pixel Line 2, which only 28 out of the 100 light.
I know the strand is good as I have swapped it for Pixel Line 1 and it works OK there.

MikeKrebs

Is the total pixels on port 1 correct?

CeP

Exactly what hardware are you using for pi and cap/hat? A little more info would be helpful. What version of FPP is installed?

The pixel counts are correct.
I am running a Pi4 with my own self-designed hat, with 8 AC ports and two PMW ports. Port 2 is non functional.

FPP 7.3.1

I'm in a motorhome and now everything is packed up for travel. I should have the display back up again in about 5 days.

CeP

Maybe your problem lies within the xlights sequencing software.
It may wise to upgrade to their latest version to squelch any bugs it has.

CeP,
I don't mind upgrading xLights, but it is version 2023.19, only one version late. Exclusive of however xLights is configured, the configuration in FPP would control the local testing of the the models in the controller. Correct?
