Running my first show with Pi Cap

Hello,

I am wondering if the setup that I am going with will be okay for my first show.

I have bought 6 V1 Pi-Caps from falcon controller last year, these will be paired with 6 Pi 4 boards, and set in Remote mode. A separate Pi 4 will be setup as The main FPP Player.

The FPP Player will be plugged into my home network with ethernet, The other 6 remote players will be on my home's WIFI, to talk back to the main FPP, and Xlights, for sequence testing.

I think from the research i have done the Player will only have to send time sync packets to the 6 remote players, where the remote players play the actual sequence locally, and not through the home network.
From some of the videos I have watched, I don't want to actually send light data over the network because of congestion issues.

Could someone let me know I'm going in the right direction, or will this still slow down the home network and create issues in the long run?

Thanks

jnealand

Sounds great to me.  I used 12 remote FPP units in a similar setup.
