PiCap V2 & DMX

Hi all,

It seems the DMX on my PiCap V2 is not responding, but I cannot be sure. I found https://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php?topic=16771.0 speaking some about this perhaps being a bad a chip, but I think that is V1. 

Are there any tools or anything I can use to see if the pi is getting the commands properly and is failing to transmit? I have a similar issue on my F16V4, but on an AlphaPix is seems to work correctly. 

Are there any tools to debug on the board side?

Which protocol are you selecting?  Assuming this is similar between the PiCapV1 and V2, be sure to use DMX-Open as the port has the correct wiring, but there is not firmware to support it. DMX-Open provides the software that is needed.

What are you connecting to the DMX?
Did you make the cable from the PiCap v2 to the DMX device?
If you did, how did you wire it?
