Trying to see how to (or if I can) configure the K128D to be a player with other devices as remotes. On my other FPPs, there is a 'tab' for "E1.31 / ArtNet / DDP / KiNet" where other devices are configured, but no such tab on the K128d.

Am I missing something here?

Basically, I want to change my player from a Pi-FPP to the BBB-FPP on the k128d so I can use the fm output off it.

Yes, you can.

It is there, depending on what version of FPP you are running, you might have to be in advanced UI mode, but you really should let xLights handle that for you

Yep, I hadn't enabled the advanced UI.
I am using Xlights for pushing configs, but I didn't see where I specify the player vs remote. Manual is a bit sparse searching for 'remote' or 'master'

It is covered in the Manual. Maybe it wasn't written well enough?

Since there is no Master mode, you probably wouldn't find anything, there is a Player mode. But there are 130 instances of "Remote" in the manual, that doesn't sound sparse? There is even a section that covers the different types of networks that you might need to configure in order for the Player/Remote to communicate with each other.

That I see in the UI, but I don't see how to set that from within XLights. It looked like you were saying I should set that from there.

I take it that it is indeed done from within the FPP UI.

No, you set the mode inside the Gui of FPP

Bingo

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend doing much more than driving the pixels on the K128.  The single core Beagle already struggles to handle 128 strings of pixels if many of the strings long.    It really doesn't give the CPU much time left to be sending out e1.31/DDP packets, etc...  I'd recommend grabbing a Pi and run in a master/remote setup so the network stuff can be offloaded to the Pi (and maybe sound) and let the K128 just handle pixels.
