F16V4 with WS2811 24v - Flickering

Hi! 

I have a F16V4 powered with the external power mode with a 12v power supply. 

I have a WS2811 24v strip powered with a 24 power supply. Only the data cable goes from the board to the strip. 

When I start up everything I have a a lot of flickering on the strip. If i disconnect the data cable the flickering stops.

I'm new to this so I probably just made some simple misstake that someone here can help me with?

Flickering can mean the lights are not getting enough power, the extension cable is too long, or not using the correct wire gauge.

How many lights are in the light string?
How long is the extension cable from the controller to the first light?
How long is the strings total length?
What gauge of wire are you using?
Is the flickering worse when the lights are white? (White uses more power)
What is the voltage of the light string at the very end?

You might need to do some power injection or possibly need to install a signal booster (F-Amp).  A signal booster will amplify the data signal and prevent flickering.  It does not look like the Falcon F-Amp will support 24v, but I think RayWu carries a 24v version.
