playlist causing fpp to hang

sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but it is driving me mad 
i have just finished moving to FPP after 2 years of using x-lights sequencer and I love it no need to have any pc connected and runs so much smoother. however I have tried several times to create play lists and it just seems to hang after I finally log back  play list title exists but that is all I cant do anything with it, nothing appears in it and it will not allow me to edit it. frustration has finally set in so any help or insight is welcomed .

Interesting problem.  After you load a sequence and media are you saving the playlist?

Did you expand the SD card when you installed FPP? What version of FPP are you running?
