So I have my show setup and running.
Recently I have been playing with ESP8266.

I think it would be awesome if the ESP8266 could receive data wirelessly and light up a few lights.

It seems the Arduino code has already been written.

So what I would like to do, is use a USB to ethernet adapter, and setup a second E1.31 output, and map just a few channels to this new output.
Then i make some battery powered RBG lights, like a necklace, and then my kids can run around outside and change colors in sync with the show.

I know you really can't send alot of channels over wireless, but in this case, I only need a few.

Looking at the current Falcon Pi output configuration screen, it doesn't look like this is possible.

Thoughts?
What would need to happen for this to be a possible?

Oddly, i can't get the USB ethernet port to respond to a ping.... Tried setting that interface to static and DHCP, neither worked.

I guess i could just blast all the channels over wifi, I was just hoping to limit the data sent out.

I was planning on using a second wifi router, not my home wifi.

If you are using unicast, then the packets should actually follow the route to the destination.  The main reason for selecting the interface is to select the source interface for multicast traffic.

Cool thanks, didn't realize that was an option.
