I have a new F16V4
I installed a new Micro-SD card, when I log into the F16, how / where do I find it in the browser page?
I also loaded the SD card on my Windows box it is does work and is formatted as an exFat device.

Are you sure you want to run the Falcon as a Player of Remote? There are some limitations in doing so.

It is my understanding that the sequence files will be transferred to the SD card and played from there limiting the amount of traffic on the network.

That is one of the limitations. You cannot upload the sequences to the SD card over Wi-Fi. Also, you have to make sure that you save the sequence files in one of the supported formats.

Many times, there is no impact on the network traffic and people will make their show network more complicated than it needs to be because of a false perception of how networks operate.

Everything is hardwired...
Pi4 running the show and running my P5 panel (2 high, 3 across).
Network connections - Falcon F16V4 with 2 smart receivers, Pi3B for lights on the santa sleigh and Rudolph reindeer.

The falcon will be the blunt of my display with my mega tree, 2 talking trees, 3 singing bulbs, and a few other items.

But how? Through a switch? That is the important part of your networking.

That doesn't explain the Network part which is what you are concerned about. The connection to the receivers is really not part of your network, but overall show design.

What are the limitations?  Seems like you have suggested to many users over the years that you can play shows over wifi.  I was assuming remote mode was how this would be set up?

Yes, it can be a Player (AKA Master) or Remote. If you want it to be a remote, then you will need to have a Player (xLights or FPP) configured to send Multisync packets.

Can you remotely upload to the falcon sd card over wired ethernet? 

Last year, I noticed some lag with some fast sequences, and lots of light changes.  Wasn't bad enough I wanted to look into it.  This year I upgraded to the FPP Pi4 knowing it was true 1GB instead of emulated 1GB(300GB) with the Pi3b+, but we also added another 10,000 lights.  My plan B was to place a SD card in all the falcons and run them in player/remote mode.  With that said I have a dozen or more controllers, and no way am I going to run outside in the cold to manually update all the controllers by hand all the time.  Asking as I am now questioning my plan B.

Yes you can.

That is not typical with a wired connection that has been configured correctly, or on extremely large shows that don't have an adequate router. It is however known to act this way when the outputs are configured incorrectly, cause "double data" signals.

My plan B was to place a SD card in all the falcons and run them in player/remote mode. 

Plan B is a viable option. Make sure you pay attention to the fseq file type if you do.

I thought maybe it could be the Falcons dropping the data by design.  Seems like I have read they will under certain circumstances, but have not looked into it.  I don't think it is network related, but always like to have a backup plan if things head south.
