I am using Govee 36v permanent pixels and want to use an F-Amp between larger runs.

What is the max voltage input required for an F-Amp to work?

Should I either directly place the F-Amp inline, splice in separate 5v/12v power to just the F-Amp, or just splice the data wire inline?

tbone321

The F-Amp max voltage is 12V so you would need to run separate power lines for the F-Amp.  Make sure that your F-Amp's ground is tied into the Govee's ground.  If you tie your power supplies ground together at the power supplies location, then you could connect the F-Amp's data line and ground directly in line with your Govee's data and ground lines and just run a single power line (5 12 volts) to the F-Amps.

Many thanks for the reply! Unfortunately the F-Amp will be at the complete other end of the house of the Govee supply, so based on your comment, I will be running:

+/-12v to the F-Amp
Splice in a data into the Govee string and F-Amp
Splice together the grounds for the F-Amp and Govee

Does this sound correct?

Yes, the data goes thru the F-Amp, 12V + directly to the F-Amp and the ground tied to both the F-Amp and the Govee tied together.  Power and ground can be ties to either side of the F-Amp (keep polarity correct) but the data, like the nodes, is directional so make sure you follow the arrows for data in and out.

Alternative would be to buck down the voltage from govee to use the F-Amp.
