I just built my first 4 arches and would like to try various effects like:

* All 4 arches "morphing" from one color to another color and back to the original color.
* Having lets say 20 pixels with pixel 1 in color 1 and pixel 20 in color 20 and the other 28 linearly interpolated. Then
a) starting from the left side, going over to the right side, then back to the left side. Each of the 4 arches doing the same thing.
b) Having the 20 pixels start on the left side of the very left arch, moving to the right side of the very left arch, then moving on to the left side of the second arch, etc until it arrives on the right side of the very right arch.
* etc.

I am pretty new to xLights so I am a bit overwhelmed doing things like that. The manual describes all the different built-in effects but it doesn't really explain or give examples on how to achieve affects like the ones listed above. Are there some tutorials for these kind of things? It seems to me, things like arches, mega trees, window outlines, roof lines, etc are very common.

To start answering your questions if you search on youtube you will find some awesome tutorials on sequencing.  It will get overwhelming at first and then you'll learn enough to experiment on your own.  Best bet is to test it in xLights and watch how it looks then try it on your elements and see how it looks.

There is no real right way or wrong way.  But there are some people who show how they do some effects and how to achieve them. And then you can experiment some more to your liking.
