Trying to diagnose something which is a minor inconvenience for me.

A little background on the details in my work flow. I keep all my sequences, audio, pictures, shaders etc on Onedrive so I can use my multiple computers whenever I want wherever I want. That works great, but I am having to download seemingly random files when I am just loading Xlights (See Picture attached). It does not matter which computer I am on, it has to download some random old files like from 2020 and a backup file at that. After it attempts to download the files, it pops up and says unable to copy the files.

Where is this directive to download these files coming from and why does it need them?

I tried to keep those specific files "local" on one drive and that does not help.

Any ideas?

To shorten your file names I would unzip the file to its own directory and then move the zip file into that directory.  You should only be accessing the zip file to unzip the files or to use in an import.

Jim,

I'm pretty sure that would take care of the error.

I'm more concerned as to why Xlights needs to download a backup file for my 2020 setup.

I can't answer the backup file download issue.  I use multiple computers, but everything is on my local home network.  I keep nothing except for photos on the web except for occassional needs I know ahead of time.  I consider my main desktop the master file although starting to use my laptop a lot more.  Since I have a small C drive (SSD) and a large spinning hard drive all my xlights and lighting files are on the D drive.  So for all the other computers I use a USB drive that I always force to be drive D.  Other computers are mostly used for testing or showing SWMBO the sequences on her computer.  Generally speaking I never have to copy more than the rgb_effects and networks files and a sequence or two and I do that manually.   For my main laptop I do have everything that is on my desktop and use a San Disk 256gb USB nano drive (physically very small).
