SPixels broken in version 6 and upwards

Hi devs,
It seems ever since the introduction of the virtual EEPROM for SPixels, this does not work. Why is this, and how do I fix it. Rebuilding the FPPd doesnt not work, I think there is an invalid url on the make file.

Please can you look into this as I am stuck on v5 master as nothing else works.

I have this error on all versions 6 and upwards.

Could not initialize output type spixels. Check logs for details.

I am wondering if the external url no longer works when recompiling?

ws2811 is not a valid protocol for spixels.   Do you know how that got configured?    If you go to the spixels configuration page and make sure everything is set for ws2801 or similar and save, does it start working?
