OK - Going to answer my own question again.  I did a test of the lights on that receiver after the show was over, and on the receiver directly chained to it.  All indications are pointing that I hooked up my bulbs to the wrong receiver (DOH!).  I will know for sure in the morning when I can verify, but am fairly sure that is the issue.

Sorry for the bother.

Thanks so much for the responses.  Yeah, last year my singing-bulbs were working fine.  I added the additional chain this year (only 4-channels, 21a-23a), and now my Singing bulbs are out of whack.  I am sure it is operator error, but it just isn't obvious yet.  I believe I did set all my terminators, but will check first thing in the morning.

Attached is a picture of my controller channelization if that helps.  Thanks again.

Falcon Player (FPP) / Re: Falcon Player Network Setu...

I have wireless on the pi but i cant figure out how to setup the different ip addresses in fpp.  I'm not a tech guy and i've spent so much time reading the manual and still cant figure it out.  Usually have my show running by nov 30th but for some reason xschedule for os stopped working.  I'm sure its either updates on my mac or xlights.  Thanks for your response.

Yes.

You might get drift on the time with pi but you check it every once in a while and adjust it as needed.

If the pi has wifi and you can connect to your home network, you can have the best of both worlds. This would also allow you to use NTP to adjust the time.

BeagleBone Black Controllers / Re: F8-B+ locking up BBB

Quote from: Babybear on December 04, 2023, 05:17:19 PMThe only thing that does happen when power is applied to the board the 8 LEDs do light up saying the fuses have power
How about the 4 small blue LEDs on the BeagleBone itself? If they are not continually flashing, then it is not booting. There is also a Blue power led, is that on?

If the blue LEDS are not flashing, then check the pins inside the SD card reader are not bent.

If you are not daisy chaining, you can use them in Normal mode, but in reality, you can designate it as any Letter. You just have to set the mode switches to match the letter you are using.

I think he is transmitting those from the P5 system so that should be turned off.  Is this related to the UDP checkbox in FPP Connect?

Falcon Player (FPP) / Falcon Player Network Setup
Last post by yarhoward - December 04, 2023, 07:52:26 PM
I was using xschedule for mac o/s to run my show.  I have a router that my mac was connected to along with all of my controllers.  It was outside of my home network.  It was a direct connection from my mac to the router. However, that doesn't work so I put Falcon Player on a pi and I have a question about my network setup.

My IP addresses for my controllers are 192.168.1.(20,21,22,23 etc).  My IP address for my pi is 192.168.1.75.  Can I just put the pi in place of my computer and plug it in to my router as long as it's on the same subnet.  I would have fpp in player mode.  I know the clock is an issue but I read that as long as I keep the pi on then it will keep the time updated from what I manually put in.  Not sure if this is correct.  So would this setup work?

Normally you start each port with A

Ports 17 to 20 would be A,B,C,D etc

What you have looks fine, you just need to terminal the last smart receiver in each chain.
