Possible Dead Ports???

I have a F16V2 (I think it is a blue board - but might be red - I have one of each). At any rate, I have a 12 string matrix that is spread between port 3 through port 14 and I have 3 ports that seem to be dead, port 6, 8,9. (String 4,6,7) I have tried different cables, different caps (the little plug things) with no results,  When I test voltage output at the plug on the board I see voltage between Positive and Negative when in test mode on all ports but the ones noted. In the controller screen it shows configured to output?  Changed the fuses although they did not appear blown.  I'm Stumped -- Any thoughts??

Do you also have an expansion board on this controller?
Are you manually configuring your controller?
Are you testing from the Falcon Board? 
What Firmware?
Do you get the same results when testing from xLights? (There have been problems in the test function on the Falcon Controllers, you should do your testing from xLights)

Try this.
In xLights, go to test and test ALL channels. if you have the same results as before, mark the string that is not lighting somehow so you can keep track of it...tape, zip tie...something.
Then go into the controller and unplug the green connector from port 5 and plug it into port 6 and plug the one that was in 6 and plug it into port 5. 
Does the "bad" string now light up?

Do the same with Ports 8 and 7 and 9 and 10.

Let us know the results

Also I removed the cords from the controller to end of first pixel and test when continuity meter and show 0.0 resistance so I again drawn back to the controller itself.

I do have a an expansion board and I have configured it manually and uploaded it from xlights.  It is running a very old firmware, been a bit gun shy of updated due to problems years ago.  1.09 I think. is it a worth updating?  If I remember correctly that is a plug into a computer type update correct?
  Will run the other test shortly and post results

Wow, I am not the only one still running an F16v2b.  I just use it for small props where I would have a long data cable.  kind of like an old fashioned, but large receiver I guess.  Still works good, But I also have F16v2r, F16v3, F16v4 and a number of other controllers that carry the heavy loads.

I have loved these controllers for years and had zero issues.  Took a couple years off and when I plug them back in I had these problems.  Guess beside getting them repaired maybe I should buy a new one too.
