PI 5 - NVME Disk - FPP Initial Setup Failure to Save Data

Hello. Got a PI 5 last year and ran it all year without issues. Today, when attempting to access the file system by setting the SMB flag & the FTP flag in the UI,  also setting the system storage flag to the NVME partition the system asked to be rebooted. After reboot, the initial screen came up and all data was showing as if it was an initial install. setting the OS password to disabled and the UI password to the default falcon was selected and then the button to save the data and proceed.  The screen looked like it was saving the data, but the UI came right back to the initialsetup.php screen and failed to save any of the data.   Trying to get the PI back to using the NVME as it's only storage device and be able to remove the SD card from the system.  Because of the previous usage of that NVME drive, I suspect that FPP is not allowing options for the drive to be re-partitioned, formatted, or even select the option to use that storage solution.  It fails to perform checks of the current state of the NVME storage device and allow the user to select it for all FPP operations.  thanks..
