Hi,
Currenly building a Bar Sign for my basement using 12V WS2811 modules. Those are four wires (2 of them running to the ground input of the pixels).
This is how I connected them:

ground 1 : controller pixel output
ground 2 : PSU -12V
data: controller pixel output
12v+ : PSU +12V

Testing the first 25 modules, bad flickering is happening (still I can see that the test pattern is playing). I tried to connect both of the ground to the psu but it didn't work... The only way I made it work is by connecting the ground only to the controller, leaving only +12V connected on the PSU. I'm pretty sure it's not a good practice so I would like some help to understand waht is happening right now and what is the best way to work it out.... Im only powering V2 right now (same PSU)

Right now:

ground 1 : controller pixel output
ground 2 : controller pixel output
data: controller pixel output
12v+ : PSU +12V

Feel free to tech me something new :)

Which WS2811 pixels have 4 wires?  Where did you acquire them from?  Do you have a link?
Sequencers: Vixen3 and xLights
Players: FPP and xSchedule Controllers:  Renards - SS24/SS16; E1.31 - San Devices E682 - Falcon F16, F4, F48 - J1Sys - DIYLEDExpress E1.31 Bridges.  Much more!

The description on this item says these, "takes 3dmx strings".
This is unusual for anything I've ever purchased from Ray.

The description also says, "7: works with dmx matrix controller, or SPI pixel controller, on-line controller, etc."

As Artie Johnson (with the helmet on) used to say, "Very Interestink".

As I said, I had them work and they are the same as several others. Its only the power issue im trying to get some help with as I dont want to damage the equipment/fore my place...
