I have three matrixes 12 x 60. I build a model of all of them 36 x 60.

strangely the text  in the all model is not readable small and just in the middle of the panel.

if I use the same text on 1,2,or three it looks like it should 12 point...

what am I doing wrong ?

I tried this based on your description and had to substantially increase the font size to something like 24 and different font selections had big changes in how it looked. Likely you just need to mess with it until you get something you like.

It is in the middle because that is where you told it to locate the text. There is a position slider for both x and y that will change the initial position of the text (depends on movement selected).

In case you haven't read it... https://manual.xlights.org/xlights/effects/off/text

Thank you for your replies !  Yes I have played with the font size and it is possible to get the system font into a size that it looks fine. The thing is. The 10 and 12 point dot matrix fonts built into Xlights are much better to read. Especially when scrolling and these don't work. I have grouped three matrixes 12 x 60 to form one 36 x 60 matrix. If I run the 12 point Font on one of the three models everything looks fine. If I run it on the group. it is completly crippled. I just see 2 points in the middle.

I suspect to have made a mistake grouping the models, yet If I run a video it looks just fine !

I attached two screenshots. One with system font and one with Xlights font to illustrate the problem

thank you to all of you, Nicholas

Is there a reason that you are creating this as 3 different models? Just because they might be physically 3 pieces, that doesn't mean that you have to create them as 3 models.

What render style have you tried? Things in groups sometimes behave a little differently and you have to change the render style.

That could be, but like I mentioned, you really don't need to make them separate.

I take your advice, I'm going to make one model of them all !
