Stop/Start playlist when channel input (Artnet) is active

I have an art installation that has a set of sequences in a playlist that work well. It has survived several shows and looks nice.

As a new upgrade, I am adding some real-time interactivity and rendering using madmapper on an external PC. Madmapper outputs over Artnet to fpp, which then translates it to ddp to my controllers. I have tested this and it works quite well.

However, given this is an untested solution, I would love to have a "fallback" when the external Artnet input fails. Right now, I have to manually start/stop the automatic sequence playback to allow the Artnet input to be rendered. I would love to detect the Artnet input, stop the current playlist to allow the Artnet render, then start the local sequences if/when the Artnet input stops.

Is there a script or other method that can start/stop a playlist based on channel input state?
