Long time lurker and learner here, but I'm finally running into an issue that has me stumped, and I need some help.
I have a permanent mount set up on my house outline using WS2811 RGBs, run off an F48 (original model), connected to various remote boards in my system to power the different strands.

In setting everything up for halloween, I noticed one strand on my garage outline (150 pixels) has the first pixel in the run powered on, and will run the color or sequence I have selected or any test sequence in all of my output settings from Falcon Player, Xlights, AND the F48 Web Interface Test.  In all of these scenarios, only the first pixel lights up, but runs the sequence.

I checked to see if the ground was seated properly, which it was - but to no avail, same issue.
I tried swapping out the board to one of the new hard fused smart boards, also no luck...
But when I press the test function on the remote board, everything lights up as it should in a color wash sequence (all 150 pixels on that strand) - which tells me I don't have an issue with the actual strand.

I'm stumped here - but am figuring I'll have to go back through my entire board set up to make sure I have it all set as it should - but I don't know what else would be causing this issue...

Any help / advice is welcome!

Thanks!

Sounds like a bad string of lights to me.  You could try plugging the string into a different port, but if you have the same issue on more than one ports, I would try doing a bulb replacement.  General rule is take the first non-working light and the working light before it, and replace both.

Grabbed a new strand of lights and tested it out - and it still just lights up the first pixel - nothing else goes.
If I push the test function on the expansion board, they all light up and color wash like they should.

Tried changing the ports on the expansion board... swapped the wires with another active strand... nothing.

This one is frustrating as heck!

How about a screenshot of your Pixel Output page? (screenshot please and not a picture of your screen)

The receiver has no idea of port configurations so it will light up more than what is configured in the controller.

I know the smart receiver has no idea of the config... I used that to figure on the absolute fact that it's not my pixels in that case.
Working back on the trouble shooting (swapping boards, connectors, etc.) the only logical explanation is the RJ45 Cable to the expansion board itself, but it doesn't make sense why the other strands of pixels on that board work without issue.

For reference, the specific strand in question would be port #14...

No, you could have things plugged into the wrong port.... Likely one that is configured for one pixel. It seems odd that you are using ports 1 and 3? Are the ports

Are you sure the RJ45 is connected to the correct port on the F48? Are you sure that your Garage is plugged into the correct port on the receiver?
What happens if you set every port that is defined to have 1 pixel set to 10 pixels?

In the spirit of football Sunday...

Upon further review - I figured I'd cut and re-crimp my rj-45 cable connector on the expansion board end... and BOOM - that was the issue.
I think one of the internal wires wiggled loose, so it was messing everything up.
