Plugged in all the time?

I have a F4v3 set up with a raspberry pi running FPP. I know the schedule on when any sequence can be set in FPP. So my question is are the F4v3 and a raspberry pi meant to be plugged in all the time? Is overheating an issue? Or should they be on a outlet timer that will "unplug" them when there is no show and during day time.

The F4v3 will be placed outside in weather proof boxes (still haven't found a good one so recommendations are welcomed). The pi is set up on WiFi so that could sit inside.

Side note: I live in Arizona so it's warmer here than most of the country

I am in southern California, and we almost hit 90 the last couple days.

Once I power on any part of my show, it is powered up until early January.  I also run a year round landscape lighting show, so those seven controllers are powered up all year - including one LOR AC controller in my attic where I have seen measured temps of just over 150 degrees (I feel sorry for that controller - but it survived).
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.
